Timeless Grandeur at Lobkowicz Palace: An Editorial Wedding on Film & Digital

Prague is a city defined by its layers of history, and Lobkowicz Palace remains one of the best wedding venues in Prague for couples seeking a regal yet intimate atmosphere. This story, featuring a real couple Marie and David, was an exploration of how a documentary wedding photo story can breathe life into a historical monument through the lens of modern nostalgia.

This project was born from a desire to blend heritage with a contemporary, almost organic spirit. Sára, the visionary wedding planner behind Glamorous Wedding Experience, describes the vision:

"The inspiration behind this editorial was the idea of connection ~ connecting the unexpected and the uncommon. I wanted to place raw, organic elements of nature into a royal, luxurious setting and show how contrast can create harmony. The concept was built on the belief that even historical spaces can feel contemporary, playful, and alive when approached with courage and creativity."

The Inspiration & Concept

As a film wedding photographer in Prague, I am constantly looking for ways to bridge the gap between digital precision and the poetic soul of analog. For this project, I was honored to be approached by Lomography for a unique collaboration.

I chose to shoot with two digital bodies, but with a distinct artistic twist: one was equipped with the legendary Petzval lens. This lens, famous for its iconic swirly bokeh and painterly rendering, allowed me to achieve a true 35mm film aesthetic with digital reliability.

This approach perfectly captures the wedding trends for the upcoming season—a shift away from overly polished, sterile imagery toward a more textured, artistic, and "perfectly imperfect" look that only analog-inspired techniques can provide.
