Film wedding photography holds a special place in my heart. Unlike digital photography, film is a completely different medium – slower, more intentional, and deeply connected to the moment itself.
When I photograph on 35mm film, every frame matters. The process invites me to slow down, observe more carefully, and capture moments with greater intention. This documentary approach allows the images to feel honest, emotional, and truly timeless.
What fascinates me most about film wedding photography is its unique character. 1. Can we see a full wedding gallery from start to finish?
Yes, absolutely. While a portfolio shows the "highlights," a full gallery demonstrates consistency. I always provide potential couples with 2–3 complete galleries. This allows you to see how I handle everything from the soft morning light during preparations to the challenging lighting of a candlelit ceremony or a high-energy reception party.
2. What is your backup plan for emergencies or equipment failure?
Your memories are safe with me. I shoot with professional-grade dual-slot cameras, meaning every photo is recorded onto two separate memory cards simultaneously. After the wedding, your images are backed up to an off-site cloud and physical drives. In the rare event of a personal emergency, I am part of an elite network of professional photographers who can step in to ensure your day is covered without a hitch.
3. When will we receive our wedding photos?
I know you’re excited to share your day! That’s why I offer a "Sneak Peek" gallery of 10–15 edited highlights within 48 hours of your wedding. Your final, high-resolution digital collection will be meticulously edited and delivered via a private online gallery within 6 to 8 weeks.
4. Do you provide RAW (unedited) files?
I provide a finished, polished product. My editing process is a vital part of the artistic style you see in my portfolio. Much like a chef wouldn't serve raw ingredients, I don't release unedited RAW files. Every photo you receive is individually color-corrected and enhanced to ensure it meets my professional standards and your expectations.
5. We are camera-shy—how do you handle posing?
Don't worry, most of my couples feel this way! My approach is "guided-documentary." I won't put you in stiff, awkward poses. Instead, I use natural prompts and movement to capture genuine emotions and connection. My goal is to make the portrait session feel like a relaxed walk together, where you can simply be yourselves.
6. Where are you based and do you travel for weddings?
I am based in the heart of Prague, but my work takes me all across Europe. Whether you are planning an intimate celebration in London, a sun-drenched weekend in Spain, or a destination wedding on the coast of Mallorca, I am always ready to travel to capture your story. I handle all my own travel arrangements and logistics personally, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. With extensive experience traveling for photography, I ensure a seamless and relaxed experience for you from start to finish.
